According to a Mizuho study of over 200 doctors from 14 specialties, the outpatient volume increased by 8% compared to the previous period. The inpatient volume also increased by 4%. Mizuho analysts cut their price target on Centene Corp. CNC +0.30% and UnitedHealth Group on Tuesday, noting that the results of the physician survey and the concerns over growth in Medicare outpatient utilization were a factor. They raised price targets for providers HCA Healthcare Inc. HCA -0.20% and Tenet Healthcare Corp. +0.35%.
