Bit2Me is a leading Spanish cryptocurrency exchange that has raised $15 Million in a round of funding led by Investcorp.

Bit2Me stated in a release that the round included Telefonica Ventures – the investment arm for Spain’s largest telecommunications firm Telefonica – Stratminds VC, Cardano, and YGG Fund.

Bit2Me will use the funds to expand its business in Latin America and Spain, where it was founded.

Leif Ferreira said that the funding would help Bit2Me acquire new customers, especially thanks to Investcorp. This international partner has a lot of financial muscle. Telefonica will also give us additional channels in Latin America.

Bit2Me purchased a majority stake of the Peruvian competitor Fluyez in July 2022. This was the first stage in a search to find acquisition opportunities in Chile Colombia and Uruguay.

Bit2Me received approval in February from the Bank of Spain as the first service provider for the exchange of fiat currency for virtual currency and for the custody of digital wallets.
