Fisker Inc. , -3.36% announced Friday that it had produced 1,022 Fisker Ocean SUVs for its customers and for marketing purposes in Austria during the second quarter. The company stated that some suppliers were unable to ramp up production levels in the 2Q period because they didn’t receive parts from sub-suppliers on time. Fisker reported that it had exceeded its target assembly rate of 80 vehicles per day by the end of June. The Los Angeles company now expects to produce more than 1,400 vehicles by early July. Fisker said it would invest in more battery capacity in order to support increased volumes next year, despite the compressed production timeline for this year. The stock is down by 21% year-to-date and 1.9% in premarket, while the S&P500 SPX is up 15%.
