Wolverine World Wide Inc. WWW shares rose 3.3% Wednesday in premarket trade after the casual, uniform and active footwear and apparel company, which includes brands such as Saucony Hush Puppies Sperry Stride Rite and Hush Puppies reported earnings for the first quarter that exceeded expectations. The company also announced it is “exploring strategic options” for its Sperry product line. The net income increased to $19.0 millions, or 23 cents per share, from $9.7million, or 12cents per share, during the previous period.
